We are staying with my Mother and Stepfather in Duluth, Ga. Ryan is at LSU and doing fine. We enrolled Eric and Zachary in Duluth High School today. They seem to be adjusting well (I know that is because of answered prayer) although they miss their friends (so do I)!! We had about 4-5 feet of water in our house. We spent 1 day in Slidell last Saturday trying to salvage what we could. Gordon is going back next week with his brother to throw out the furniture and rip out carpet and dry wall. Gordon is being told that he will probably be relocated to the Houston area. It is hard to say for sure at this point but it does not look like we will be returning to Slidell on a permanent basis. That makes me so sad! I will miss my church and my friends so much!!
I need to hear from all the ELC teachers to find out how everyone is doing. I would also like to know who thinks they will be able to return to work and when. We will need to try and regroup toward the end of the month and find out how many children will be returning and decide what to do from there. I will probably stay with Venita for a few days at the end of the month to try to get the school up and running again. Please call me at my mother's house or send me an email.
